Guatemala Thursday

Today we toured the Guatemala Compassion Offices.  Everything I see from Compassion runs like a well-oiled machine.  Everything.

For lunch we joined some local Pastors.  Most of these guys run churches in the poorest of neighborhoods and with Compassion’s help, each church  ministers to 200-300 different children.  It’s like an intense VBS everyday.  These Pastors are heros.

Here is a quick video of a beauty named Roca.  Shawn and I  visited his home and found out that he is not yet sponsored.  I felt the Lord prompting me to sponsor him (it would be our 2nd Compassion child).  How could I say no?

Guatemala Wednesday

Another day of getting my heart knocked around.  Near the end of the day, this little beauty walked up to me, kissed me on the cheek and said that I was handsome.  Like a kiss from heaven.

Below is a video overview of the day.  Be sure and check out Shawn’s blog for more info on what we experienced today.

Guatemala Tuesday

Today Shawn and I began our vision trip with Compassion InternationalSteph and I have sponsored children with Compassion for more than 25 years.  Today we saw first hand their ministry and I was extremely impressed.  I am more than proud to partner with them.  To find out how you can sponsor a child, click here.

Guatemala Sunday

Today said goodbye to Nate, Rachael, and Jody.  They should arrive in Indy tonight (Monday).  Be sure to check out Shawn’s post for an amazing view of Antigua and a reminder of the grand scale of our God.

Thanks for your prayers and partnership.  Stay tuned for more updates.
