Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Kyle at Our Rising Sound asked me to write an article for a recent series called “God in the Worst Times.” Great idea Kyle. Thanks for letting me be part of the series!
To read my submission click here (after Tuesday AM), then come back and listen to the song. It will make more sense once you do.
Good Night!

I’d say that last night at exchange was a good night. A very good night.
We announced that the Advent Conspiracy offering was off the charts - $5700 in 3 weeks! Because of that, we met the need for socks and underwear for the Catholic Charities Christmas Store (for this year and most of next). In coming weeks, the remainder of the money collected will go toward our clean water initiative, Life Straw.
And (drumroll) . . . last night we baptized our 100th person since the beginning of the year. Dang.
Talk about momentum! It is a great ride and I am glad to be part of it.
Slow Moving Ninja

Today was 18 miles in 20 degree weather. I was one slow-moving (chilled) Ninja. T-minus 46 days until the Disney Marathon.
Stay tuned. Shawn and I have devised a way for all of us to stay connected while I suck air for 26.2 miles (no nunchucks required).

We are at Catalyst One Day!
Posted on November 20th, 2008 in blog | Comments
We loaded up the van at 4AM and hit the road. Some young adults got together at exchange and paid the way for Jack Fox and I to hang out with Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel for the day. (Side note to the ones who are sending us: YOU ROCK!!!!) We will be at Granger Community Church (a fantastic piece of the kingdom), attending the Catalyst One Day Conference.
Fox also tells me that he may have scored some VIP passes, meaning that we could be having lunch with Andy and Craig. Our goal for the VIP lunch: to not be used as a future sermon illustration by these guys.
So, we were in Northern Indiana and these 2 jokers somehow get some VIP passes. Let me tell you about these whack jobs. . .
Stay tuned. If I can grab some internet access, I’ll post on the content of the day. I’m PUMPED!!
Christmas Eve Promo
Posted on November 19th, 2008 in Exchange, blog | Comments
We just finished shooting some promo video for our Christmas Eve services. I don’t want to give it away, but let’s just say that Santa costume + elf costume + Jack + Scot = comedy.
That’s right kiddies, Jack and Scot are back on the big screen, thanks to the video genius of Scott Telle. All in the name of getting your friends to MCC on Christmas eve. Game on.
